Meet Kojo Adisa

Kojo is an author, educator, entrepreneur, and internationally recognized speaker renowned for his holistic perspective on global affairs. Drawing on his diverse experiences in public service, business, and academia, he promotes ethical approaches that encourage transformative thinking, foster collaboration, and strengthen communities through shared value and purpose. 

 

Kojo’s entrepreneurial journey spans several decades. In 1985, he co-developed a low-impact exercise program and later founded Bacot’s Private Investigations in 1990. Between 1990 and 1995, he co-owned two therapy clinics. Continuing his path of innovation and service, he founded SOW-lutions, a healthcare consulting firm, in 2009; Legacy, LLC, in 2013, to provide investigative support for individuals facing wrongful accusations; and Tarkar, LLC, in 2020, to bring together global Afrikans in developing cooperative and sustainable ventures that restore wealth, dignity, and opportunity to the Motherland and her people. 

 

Kojo’s voice reached the airwaves as cohost of Perspectives 2011–2013, a talk show on AM 1580, The Big Talker, where he engaged audiences in meaningful conversations about culture and current events. Today, he continues to lecture globally on Afrocentric ideologies, health, spirituality, and community empowerment. 

 

Kojo is a military Veteran (disabled Veteran), as well as a highly decorated federal agent whose career spanned more than 20 years. Both his military and federal career has helped to shape his uniquely intriguing global perspective. He has investigated and supervised high-profile cases involving violent crimes, counterterrorism, domestic terrorism, and counterintelligence. He also served as a military and international liaison collaborating with groups such as, military chains of command and dignitaries in Singapore, China, Russia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, Mexico, Brazil, and beyond. Subsequently, he created and delivered training programs for military and federal personnel, empowering through training over 75,000 professionals worldwide in criminal, counterterrorism, and counterintelligence operations. 

 

His acclaimed book, Re-embracing Africa, honors the resilience of his Ancestors, Afrikans captured and brought to Mobile, Alabama, aboard the Clotilda in 1860. Denied the opportunity to return home after emancipation, they founded Africatown, USA, a community that still stands as a testament to endurance, vision, and Afrikan cultural pride.
